Marble tulip & pedestal dining tables

One pedestal. Room around it.

A tulip table pairs a stone top with a single pedestal base, keeping the outline visually open beneath the table. Explore oval marble versions and softly rounded rectangular travertine designs. Review the tabletop size, base footprint, connection and chair positions as a complete arrangement.

Before the drawing

Three decisions that shape the piece.

A useful brief connects the appearance to the way the piece is made and used.

Review the slab approval checklist

Top and seating layout
Choose the oval dimensions with the actual chairs and dining space in view. The pedestal removes corner legs, but its footprint still affects chair placement.
Base and connection
Confirm the base material and colour, floor contact and the connection to the stone top. Ask for a drawing showing the support arrangement and underside.
Stone and edge
Review the selected marble, top thickness, edge and finish together. The photographed top is a material reference; approve the actual slab and cut layout for your order.

Choose the actual stone

Begin with a material direction.

A trade name or reference photograph is a starting point. Review the proposed stone, finish and cut layout, then record what is approved for your piece.

Common questions

Before you choose.

What is a tulip dining table?

A tulip dining table uses a central pedestal base with a broad foot and a top that appears to float above it. In this collection the reference designs have oval marble tops.

Can the pedestal colour be changed?

The source designs include black and white base options. Confirm the available finish for the selected model in your quotation.

How many chairs fit around a tulip table?

Capacity depends on the top dimensions, chair width and base footprint. Send your chair measurements and desired seating layout so the proposed table can be reviewed.

Can the marble top be supplied on its own?

Ask for a top-only scope and provide the existing base drawing. The stone and base connection needs to be coordinated; do not assume that any top will fit any pedestal.
